So I went camping the other night on the ocean! after leaving Salem, I headed straight west on hightway 20 through some amazing forests and hills. Stopped and found a library, but only had an hour of internet, and my camera wouldn't load pics because I dropped it in the sand along the beach campsite and now "shutter action" worn't work. Now im using my cell phone to capture some amazing coastal views. Upon reaching the 101 highway is where I stopped to camp ( in florence, OR.)which has very nice campsites, beautiful beaches and lots of rain. I finally had a shower last night, after 5 days... eww thats refreshing ( and then another this morning) So im heading down the 101 today looking forward to enter the redwood forest! I think that the redwood forest is one of the most important "to-do's" on my trip!! I have yet to see a real 300+ ft old growth before. The coast has been super nice with the sun now coming out and the ocean only 100ft from the highway. I think I will aim for California today and get over the border to Crescent City tonight.
